Which vehicles does this hanger fit?

Lexus IS300 and Toyota Altezza. The GS300 and Aristo use a different hanger, listed separately.

How much power will the fuel system support?

The 8AN feed with 6AN return combination has been tested upwards of 1200hp. That is the tested plumbing capacity of the system as configured.

What is different about the V2 compared to the V1?

Four things. Stainless stud connectors replace the bulkhead connector, removing the amperage ceiling that restricted V1 usage to Walbro 450 and 485 pumps. Every hanger is hardcoat anodized in house. The stud isolators are Delrin rather than 3D printed or general plastic, so they tolerate heat and alcohol-based fuels. And the siphon venturi is machined directly into the pump bracket instead of being a modified factory piece, which is more compact and flows considerably more. The V2 is the same price as the V1.

What pumps can I run on the V2?

The stud connectors give a practically unlimited amperage threshold, so pump choice is no longer limited by the connector. Fuel pump adapters are available for most popular pumps on the market including brushless options, and each adapter ships with its own instructions via QR code.

Do the dust seals go inside the fuel tank?

No. The dust seals are for the outer connector only. They are not fuel safe or watertight, so they serve no purpose inside the tank.

Is the relay harness specific to my car?

No. The same relay harness is used across every ASE pump hanger. Standard four-pin relay wiring is identical on any application.

Can I run just one pump?

Yes. The hanger runs one or two pumps. For a single pump setup, plug one of the two ports with the supplied 6 ORB plug.

Why will the second pump not thread into the manifold?

Because the pump outlet is eccentric rather than concentric — it is not in the center of the pump, so threading it straight up makes it rotate around its center point instead of seating. Snug one fitting into the manifold, leave the second loose enough to still have threads engaged but rotate freely, then walk the pump into position and tighten the fitting up into the cavity using the hex while keeping the pump perpendicular to the base.

What size are the assembly screws?

3mm. Start with a clean Allen key so the heads do not round out, since they are not available locally. Walk around the perimeter pulling the assembly together gradually. A trimmed short Allen key makes the screw tucked under the fuel manifold far easier to reach.

Is it E85 compatible?

Yes, anodized for E85 compliance, with Delrin isolators that are safe with gasoline, ethanol and other alcohol-based fuels.

What changed in V2

Stud connectors replace the bulkhead connector. The original connector had an amperage ceiling, which is why V1 usage was restricted to the Walbro 450 and 485. Stainless studs remove that bottleneck, so pump choice is no longer limited by the connector.
Hardcoat anodized in house. Every hanger comes off the machine raw and is then hardcoat anodized in the ASE anodizing station — for longevity and E85 compliance.
Delrin isolators. Not 3D printed and not general-purpose plastic. Delrin tolerates heat and is safe with gasoline, ethanol and other alcohol-based fuels.
Venturi machined into the pump bracket. Previously a modified factory piece, now machined in — more compact and flows considerably more. It drops fuel directly onto the filters low in the tank, which keeps cavitation down as the level drops.

On the pump side, two Walbro 485s are capable of supporting close to 1,400 wheel horsepower with appropriately sized injectors — the V2 stud connectors mean the hanger is no longer what limits your pump selection.

How the pumps should be wired

Pumps should be staged, not run together all the time. The car should start, idle and cruise on a single pump, with the second coming on only when demand calls for it. Staging keeps fuel temperatures down and extends pump life.

Relay harness

The ASE relay harness is not application specific — the same harness is used across every ASE pump hanger, and standard four-pin relay wiring is the same on any car.

Seals

The supplied dust seals are for the outer connector only. They are not fitted inside the tank — they are neither fuel safe nor watertight, so they serve no purpose in-tank.
